Dear Ollie,

I received the Christian Boys Magazine today. Boy it sure is swell. Everything is turning out perfect.

Say Ollie, by that write up you gave me people will be expecting to much. It sounds like I wrote the thing myself.

Say Ollie I don’t know if this is true or not and I’m hoping it is not. A fellow from the C.B.L was in the store the other day and told my mother that a Bill Walthers on Drake St. got his legs cut off. He was supposed to be a 2nd St. in the Army Air Corps. I don’t place him anywhere. He isn’t  one of the twins is he. Remember Little Paulie that lived on Kedzei. Thats the one I mean. I don’t know who the fella that was in the store, I didn’t see him. I thought maybe you could find out and let me know. I pray to God that its just a rumor and nothing else.

Say you fixed the column up good. You made the changes in the right places. I would have never thought of them myself.

Say am I getting a razzing from the few fellows that are left from the Giants. Star on the Giants “Baseball” and “Football” Teams.

They’ve asking for my autograph already. They practically think I wrote that piece about myself.

Hell I’ll sign all the dirt you get about the C.B.L. fellows in service.

                                                                                    Your pal & buddy,
