Wednesday Sept. 11th

Hey Darling,

How are you?  I guess you are settled to a unit now, as I have had no mail since I received your cable on Saturday.  Well my darling all I can do now is just wait till I hear again from London, which I suppose will mean an examination and being vaccinated again if they still do that, then my angel I shall be coming to you, sweetheart ever since I knew about it I haven’t really been Settled.  I can’t wait to get to you darling.  I long for the next day to come around so that it will wake it a bit sooner, I shouldn’t do that I know darling but I’m so very lonely without you. My darling, I can’t really tell you how much I do love you, honest angel its torture away from you.  Darling you can understand how I feel for you, and you should know what I go through day after day without you.  Derry is getting much better now sweetheart, he sleeps peacefully all day, plays me up a bit some nights but nothing to grumble about.  Each night when I take him to bed and wait for him to go to sleep, I just lay back on the bed and try to imagine where you are, what you might be doing, Oh! and about everything darling.  It will all come true one of these days darling, I keep praying and praying, it will be any day now.  A race is now on in which Airborne is running, will wait for returns.

My darling till we can be together again, always remember that I love you and Derry more than life itself and can never be happy till I’m near you for keeps.  Am thinking of you every minute of every day and longing for you more and more each night Darling Airborne’s come first in the St. Leger, Warren second, Talt and Fair third.  My love to all Derry sends his daddy a great big kiss.

                                    I’LL LOVE YOU ALWAYS
