My Own Beloved Husband

Today I received the letter you wrote on Boxing Day darling, it made me very happy. Darling did you drink too much to make you sick, I guess you have had enough to last you the next ten years. Darling I realize it is all that’s keeps you going while we are apart and I really don’t mind till we get there and then we can have a drink in our own peace together like we used to my darling, but I don’t suppose you fetch it in the bottle there darling. Eddie Sweetheart I’m really and truly ready for a lot of fun together, it’s been nearly two months now since I have been out, only shopping, don’t you think it’s a pretty long time to stay in darling, but it’s not worried me a bit angel. I’ve had our darling baby, and you and Derry mean more to me than anything else, and all that keeps me happy is the thoughts of the happy future together darling. Eddie Sweetheart I love you with heart, soul and body So much, the first meeting again, I can honestly say there has never been a happier person than I will be that first heavenly moment I set eyes on you again.

No news for you yet my darling, Gee they do take their time I’m not kidding, if they only knew what torture it is waiting. Darling I don’t know whether I wrote and told you about getting my check right after I received Derry’s allotment. It was for 80 dollars darling. I also received the package yesterday darling, thank you Sweetheart, it was lovely, but the chocolates had gone moldy with the damp. Don’t worry darling they were alright. Derry is almost better angel, he just has a slight wheeze now, but he is full of pep. Darling the praying I have done here for you this week, we’ve tried so hard darling, luck ought to be with us soon. Till then Eddie Sweetheart remember you are my own darling husband and I love you dearly, and the day is bound to come along when we can be together for keeps. Derry sends a great big kiss.
