This collection of letters was written by a British woman named Connie Bishop to her American GI husband, Eddie Bishop. The letters demonstrate the difficulty of a loving couple who have been united by war and separated by peace. At the close of World War Two, Eddie was shipped back to the United States and Connie, and their son Derry, are left back in Britain. These letters tell the story of Connie's effort to be reunited with her husband.
