Dear Gram,

Today I mailed a money order for $60 and I wish you would write and tell me when you receive it. I took out a class E allotment about two weeks ago for $30 a month and I wish you would write and tell me when you start receiving it also. This class E allotment however won’t start until Aug. so don’t worry if you don’t get it until the later part of that month. There is nothing to spend your money on over here so I think $15 a month will be plenty to buy rations and toilet articles. Please let me hear from you soon and tell the neighbors hello for me.
