            Dear Pearl,

Well how is the stranger, I hope fine. Where have you been keeping yourself all these days? I guess in school. How is school coming along? Do you like it as much as ever, I hope so. Since I drive, I have been over there quite often, but I never see you. I don’t have so much time because this is Thursday morning and I must get ready for school. So please excuse a short letter. The next letter I will have more time, so write a long letter. M “42”

By the way I forgot to thank you for the lovely Valentine you sent me. I am so sorry I forgot all about Valentine’s Day. So please excuse me. On April first we, rather our school is having a skating party at Sinking Springs, so if you can come which I hope you will, write soon and I will send you a ticket. So please try and come
