Dearest,

I didn’t really intend to write tonight, dear - cuz I sent you one “V” mail & one story today! - But here goes! - I love you so. Some pictures came tonite & I had so much fun pasting them in this album. If you’d rather have them loose, just tear out & use the pages. – When I see my long hair & my short hair I get anxious for it to grow out for you. You never told me, did you cut yours again? Don’t laff at me in the smack! – I have my hands & my hips & - oh gee does it ever look funny.

The blouse on the hair-cut ones is the one I bought – G.I. Do you like my short hair? On the before & after ones, it’s the day she cut & fixed it & it looks shorter than really. – I didn’t get a letter tonite- but I guess I couldn’t ‘spect one. Oh darling all I do is think of how much I love you. – Your loving wife who’s so sleepy dear – if only I could go to sleep in your arms – with my back tite close to your tummy like I used to do- & will soon. Oh darling!

Please tell me do you mind my spending on postage?

Sweetheart I’m watching Lou have her bath. She does it nearly all herself. - & oh is she cute. – It’s Ga-Ga’s birthday tomorrow. – So I’m going to stay house. & help & company’s coming. Got three lovely letters & was so glad. – Oh darling how I love you – We listen to that news  19 – Dad always does.

I’ve sent you a lot of V letters lately. S’pose they’ll get to you the same way because the typewriter doesn’t look too clear. I bet they laugh at some of my screwy letters.

I haven’t read those articles you spoke of – all my magazine reading is of back numbers of 1 & 2 years. [There are ink marks on the letter signed “Louise”. They appear to be the marks of their child, Louise.] We don’t get any current ones now, except Post. So glad the weather is better. Yes I like Irene - as a name – but it’s someone tall and sophisticated – not short and ? like me. – Anything you call me I love. – But everyone around here calls me Irene.

My cold still hangs on & I don’t feel too good so ‘scuse a short scribbly letter, huh? Enclosed are some pictures I know you’ll like

                All my love,

                                Patsy Irene

                                Mrs. Carlson

I hope my trying to be a little saving on postage hasn’t slowed up your mail. I’ll feel bad if it does. Let me know. Oh I love you.

I wish I could write more, darling, but I gotta iron, & I’m not going down in the morn.
