My Dearest Darling Wife,

Hello honey, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Gosh Honey I got two of the sweetest letters this evening and was I ever tickled to get them. Darling they were so darn sweet just like all of my little wife’s letters are. I also got three from the folks honey. Boy the mail has sure been coming in good the last three or four days. Yours was the twenty sixth and twenty ninth of November Honey, so that was pretty good time. Gee darling your letters are so darn sweet and they mean so awful much to me. They make me so darn happy and make me feel so darn wonderful in every way Honey. I sure hope you are getting my mail all right now dearest. I love you so awful, awful much dearest and you are so darn sweet.

I am feeling fine now dear and getting along all right now Honey. I have plenty of everything now darling. Well it was plenty hot here today Honey, the same as usual. We are working the regular day shift now. Honey I sure hope it is nice at home now and not to cold. You be sure and dress warm enough now darling and don’t catch no more cold. I know you will take good care of my sweet little wife honey and you had sure better darling. I cut my thumb today Honey and boy did it ever bleed. I was putting a new handle in a hatchet and it had just been sharpened and it slipped and right into my thumb right in the joint. The blood sure did run and then tonite when I was taking a shower I bumped it and it started again. A fellows blood is so darn thin over here that just the least little thing and the blood really spurts. It is all right now though if I don’t bump it again.

Honey that clipping you sent me from the paper on Armistice Day sure was nice. It is sure pretty true to army life to and them letters sure sounds like some of the fellows talk. That was sure a good one from the fellow in the southwest Pacific. Those mosquitoes are just like he said to. Boy Honey, this war is sure affecting everyone and it will sure be a happy day in everyones life when this thing is all over. We will be so darn happy when we get back in each others arms and can start our life together honey. I know God is going to end all of this as soon as possible to darling and I know he will bring us together as soon as possible. Gosh Honey we are so happily married and we can be together from the first minute on. Gee but it will be wonderful and we’ll be so happy dearest.

Honey I am sure glad you meet Mother downtown last Saturday and then got to go up on Sunday to. Darling they love you so darn much and they are so happy when their little daughter gets up. I know you like to go up to Honey cause I know you really have a good time talking and being with the folks. I am sure glad you put your bonds in the safety deposit box to darling. You be sure and keep all your bonds in there honey cause then you will never lose them. Darling we are always going to have a box when I get home. We will keep all our papers and money and everything like that in there. They sure are nice to have I think, don’t you darling.

Darling you said you was going to paint the kitchen . I am sure glad you put it off until the evenings Honey and didn’t do it over your Thanksgiving holiday. I wanted you to rest over those holidays Honey but I know you were busy all the time. Don’t you work to much in the evenings now dear cause you work enough during the day and doing your housework and all like that. Gosh Honey won’t it be swell when we can fix our home together and paint things and fix them like we want to. Everything we do Honey will be done together and we will be so happy.

You was telling me about Helen and her little girl going to Peru to Don. Gosh Honey just like you said, they are sure going there a lot to keep him out of this war. That’s one thing they can’t say about us Honey that we got married or anything like that so I wouldn’t have to go. That the main reason we didn’t get married before I left Honey, cause we knew how everyone would be talking. They sure can’t say anything about us now.

I love you so awful, awful much and you know I always will darling. You are so darn precious and so wonderful in every way dearest. Gosh Honey, we are so happily married and I know there isn’t a couple in this world that love each other more than we do Honey. You keep that sweet little chin up now dearest and darling you know I always will to and I know everything will turn out sweet for us dear. Honey dear you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful, awful much and you know I always will.

Well dolly I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dear. I’ll be looking for your sweet letters now dearest. Please be awful careful and take good care of my sweet little wife Honey. Remember chin up and always happy dear.

Love and more love is all I can say dear.

Loads and loads of love to my dearest darling wife.
