My Dearest Darling Wife,
Hello Honey, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Well dolly no sweet letters so far today but I am sure hoping some comes in before the day is over. Gosh it seems like the mail service gets worse instead of better. It will be two weeks tomorrow since we got much mail. I got those three letters from you day before yesterday Honey and that is all in two weeks now. Gee but I wish we could get better mail service. Gee darling your letters mean so darn much to me and they are so awful, awful sweet. They make me so darn happy and make me feel so wonderful all over dear. Gee darling I sure hope you are getting my mail all right. You are so darn sweet Honey and I love you so awful, awful much.
I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right. I have plenty of everything now dearest. Well Honey everything is going the same as usual here. It is plenty hot here again today. I worked the nite shift again last nite so I got in bed about seven this morning and I was up by ten, so darn hot I couldn’t sleep. Tat sure isn’t much sleep either, three hours but you just lay there and perspiration runs off you like someone was pouring water on you. Two more nites now and I think we will change shifts. Sure hope you are having some swell weather at home now dearest. Gosh Honey we would be having such a wonderful time if I was home with you now. Everything will be so darn wonderful when we get back in each others arms Honey and we will be so happy.
Honey dear you can send me some candy when you get around to it. Gosh honey you are so darn swell to me and send me so many nice things. I sure will be glad when I am back and can get you something once again dearest. It has been almost two years now dearest since I have gotten you anything nice. It makes me so darn happy when I can get you nice things dearest. I never will forget some of the things I got for you honey and it always thrilled me so darn much to know you liked them. I sure never will forget all the wonderful things you got me before I left home to Honey. Honey you are the most perfect little wife in this world and I love you so awful, awful much. Gee but we will be happy when we are back together Honey and can take care of each other and be together all the time.
Honey you was saying that Roy and Maxine was leaving that week that you wrote one of my last letters so I guess they are back home by now. But you sure hated to see them leave. It was sure swell that they were able to get home this year cause transportation is so darn hard to get. I sure feel sort for Jeanette. That poor little kis has sure has a time of it and now another operation. Maybe she will get along all right now after this is over. Anna Mae was expecting in a week of so you said Honey. But I sure didn’t think the time was that close. They sure didn’t get back home any too soon.
Sure hope this finds you feeling swell in every way now honey. Please be awful awful careful now dearest and take good care of my darling little wife. Sure hope you aren’t too busy at work now dear and not working any overtime. Please take it easy now Honey and Honey is you sell the place and have to move I want you to take it easy now and don’t try to do everything all at once. Please take it easy now dearest and don’t work to hard now.
Honey you was saying that your arm turned black and blue where they took the blood the last time. Gee darling I sure hope it got all right and didn’t sore on you or get anything wrong with it. I know it does make a person’s arm turn black and blue like that sometimes cause when I was in the hospital mince turned that way where they had the needle in my arm. Boy I was about like a pin cushion when I got out of the hospital. They was sticking me with some kind of a needle all the time. I got several shots in the hip with a needle about an inch and a half long and boy was it ever sore. I’ll bet you would of sure laughed if you could of seem how easy I sat down for about two weeks. Sure hope you didn’t have any more trouble with it dear.
Honey dear I love you so awful, awful much and you know I always will dearest. You are so darn sweet and so precious in every way dearest. Gee darling it is so darn wonderful to see your sweet lip prints on my letters. It makes me feel like I am so close to you honey even though we are so far apart. Won’t it be heavenly when we can press our lips together dear and hug and kiss each other all we want to. I know god hears our prayers and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible now dearest. You are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world honey and I love you so awful, awful much and you know I always will dearest.
Well dolly I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dear. I’ll be looking for your sweet letters now Honey. Please be awful, awful careful Honey and take good care of my sweet little wife. Remember now dear chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dear.
