My Dearest Darling Wife,
Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Well dolly no sweet letters so far today but I am sure hoping some comes in before the day is over. Gee darling your sweet letters mean the world and all to me and they are so darn precious. They make me so awful, awful happy dear and make me feel so wonderful all over. Gosh honey those last two letters were so darn wonderful, just like all your sweet letters are dear. They give me the grandest feeling Honey, gee but they are precious. I sure hope you are getting my letters all right now dearest. Please don’t worry when you don’t hear from me for quite a while sometimes dear. You know I will always write you as often and as much as possible now dear. You are so darn sweet Honey and I love you so awful, awful darn much.
I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in ever way. I have plenty of everything now dearest. Well Honey it has been raining here almost all day but it has stopped now and the sun is coming out and it sure is getting hot. Sure hope the weather is nice at home now darling. Well Honey today is Sunday. I went to church this morning. We had some Chaplain that exchanged services with our Chaplain and I didn’t care so much for his sermon. It was a nice service though. Sure hope you got to go to church this morning Honey.
Well darling we got a big bunch of supplies in our post exchange. First time we have had such a big stock since we left Figi. I sure bought a lot of things. Got about thirty candy bois and tooth brushes and shoes and everything like that. I stood in line for an hour and forty five minutes yesterday and about forty five minutes this morning. They only allow one guy a certain number of everything and if you want more you have to go through the line again. I sure ought to make a good shopper in big crowds or anything where you have to wait in line for cause everything you do here in the army you have to stand in line. From getting paid to eating chow, anything you do almost you have to sweat a line out. Gee darling I will be so darn happy to get out of this thing and back in your sweet arms. We will be so darn happy and everything will be so heavenly darling.
Darling I would like for you to send me some films when ever you get a chance. Gee darling those were such wonderful pictures and I am so darn proud of them. Honey you look like you have a new hair style in these last pictures, or maybe it was just the way it looked to me honey. It sure is pretty dear just like it always is honey. Gee darling you always took such wonderful care of my beautiful hair and every style you ever wore it, it was perfect honey. Gee darling you always look so perfect in every way, just my own sweet little wife. Honey I am so darn proud of you and I love you so awful, awful darn much. Darling I ask you for the films now but I want you to keep them dear and take pictures for me as often as you can darling. We can’t take any over here yet honey, but maybe we will be able to when we get to our next place and if we do I will tell you and you can send me some film then dear. Gosh Honey you said you could get three rolls every time I sent you a request. I am sure going to keep those requests coming to dear cause your pictures mean so darn much to me darling. Gosh Honey I just sit here and look and look at your wonderful pictures. It seems like I am nearer you when I can get your pictures darling, it just seems like I can almost talk to you darling. Honey you are the most wonderful little wife in this world and darling you have made me the happiest husband in this world. Gee darling our love is really true love and straight from the heart dearest. I know there isn’t a couple in this world that love each other more than we do Honey and we will always be that way to honey.
Honey you was asking me if I remember Nadine Newman. Yes Honey I sure remember her cause we lived there by them for several years and that is just the kind I thought she would turn out to be. Isn’t that awful Honey the poor fellow over there fighting and thinking that he is going to have a happy home and a wife to come home to and now to get that news. And now she is going to marry someone else to. I sure can’t understand people like that dear. Like you said dear there surely isn’t any true love there or she’d wait for him. I know it is darn hard on a girl Honey, just like it has been on you darling but a lot of those girls sure don’t realize what a guy goes through. You are so understanding Honey, just the most perfect little wife in this world. They don’t think about a guy being away from everyone for two or three years and more of the time living plumb out of civilization away from all the comforts of life and with no amusement or anything like that and just thing after thing like that. If it was true love like our honey they could understand how hard it was on each other and it would make their love greater than ever just like ours is, right Honey dear. Darling you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful, awful darn much and you know I always will darling. Isn’t it wonderful to be happily married like we are Honey and not have to worry about each other in any way like a lot of couples do. Darling I know god is looking after us to and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible dear. You are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world dear and I love you so awful, awful darn much and you know I always will dolly.
Well sugar I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now darling. I’ll be looking for your sweet letters now dearest.
