My Dearest Darling Wife,

Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dolly. Gosh Honey I just received four of the sweetest letters and I was so darn thrilled to get them dearest. I also got two from the folks and one from another one of my buddies that went home. Gosh honey yours were so darn sweet and precious, just like all your wonderful letters are. Yours was March the twenty sic, twenty seventh, twenty eighth, and twenty ninth so that is darn good time dear. Gosh Honey your precious letters mean so awful darn much to me and they are so sweet. They make me so awful darn happy dearest and make me feel so wonderful all over. It just gives me the grandest feeling all over when I get your precious letters dolly. Honey you had received four letters from me one day but then the mail hadn’t been coming in so good in the rest of them. Sure hope you are getting my mail all right now dearest. Honey dear you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful darn much.

I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now darling. Well Honey it is a real nice day here, awful hot though. Boy this past couple of weeks have sure been awful hot. Sure hope it cools off a little now. Sure hope you are having some nice weather now dearest. Well Honey I worked last nite and slept until about ten thirty this morning. Boy my bed was like someone had poured water in it from precipitation. I go on the day shift tomorrow and boy I’ll bet it will be another powerful hot day Just got back from church a little while ago dearest. Had another real nice service today. Sure am glad we have our own chapel and Chaplain now. Gee darling it will be so darn swell when we are back in each others arms and can go to church together every Sunday.

Gosh Honey I was sure glad that Pete called you. He wrote a letter back and he said he was going to call you the next day or so. He was sure a nice fellow. He is a man of thirty or so years Honey and I think he just has that sister there in K.C. [Kansas City] and another sister and brother. Honey dear I’m not quite that fat but I guess I am some heavier than when I left. I have lost quite a bit to what I was over in Fiji. Well Honey I don’t have any souvenirs to bring back so I won’t have any of that to worry about. I send every thing home to you dear that I get and I never try to get and guns or anything like that cause they are really high when you can get strict on all that stuff all right. Boy Honey I’ll say all my thoughts are of you and you know they are dearest. Se darling now you can tell how much I talk about my adorable little wife. Honey everyone knows you mean the world and all to me and that my whole life is yours. That forty five days on the furlough sure is swell and twice as much as you get on rotation but oh the thought of coming right back. Then on rotation a guy has a chance to get another furlough soon after you get assigned to another outfit. I am sure going to take my chances on rotation. Even though the furlough is only twenty one days on rotation I might not have to leave the states again and could be with you ever evening dear and on Sundays and sure as that/ I think it is way the best bet for us darling. This fellow I got the letter from today is in Miami Beach now assigned to the air corp and he thinks he will be stationed in Texas. It seems like they are trying to get a lot of them to go into the aviation military police but no one hardly wants to get in there cause they have a bad reputation among most of the men. It is a pretty good job I guess though. I sure hope I can still stay in some branch of the air corp. Gosh Honey I am hoping and praying so much that our day won’t be so very much longer. I sure would like to see some new men come in cause then they would let all the old guys go I think. We know that the worst of our waiting is over darling and that we will be back in each others arms before so very long. Gosh Honey we have our meeting planned so perfectly and it is all so heavenly to think about. I think about it all day Honey and dream of it all nite. It is so wonderful the way you write me about it all darling. Honey be sure and mention any little thing you happen to think about and I will do the same dearest. Gee but we will be close together all the time dearest. Honey I’ll bet I have you with out the towel about twenty three out of every twenty four hours, how about it dear. Just got to have you right against me so close all the time Honey. I’ll bet you have me the same way to, how about it baby. We will be like the bees so often dearest, I’ll betcha it will be almost continuously dear. It will be the first time in our married life dear that we have been free to do what we wanted to and not have to leave each other after spending a day and a couple of nites together. It will all be so heavenly dearest and we will be so awful darn happy.

Honey you was telling me about the picture of Pat Barnes bride to be appearing in the paper the other Sunday. Is he still in the army dear or is he out and there in the states. Boy I can’t feature him marrying a girl that drinks all the time and so young. He was always so timid and very seldom even looked at a girl. That’s the way most of those bashful boys turn out though. You was saying you saw that Curtis was married to dear. He wrote me about this girl in North Carolina and really seemed to think a lot of her. Yes he was stationed there once dear. Sure hope he got a good wife cause Tim is sure a swell kid and has a good ambition. Gee darling we are so happily married and our love for each other grows stronger all the time. Gosh Honey we are so exactly alike in every way, we can go out anyplace dear and mix with anyone and always getting along swell anyplace. We like to do exactly the same things, go to the same place, even like the same food and all dearest. Gosh Honey our love is real love and straight from the heart and our whole life is built around each other dearest.

Honey you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful darn much and dearest you know I always will. You are so darn sweet and so precious in every way dolly. Honey dear one of my letters today had the sweetest kiss on it. It is so awful wonderful to see my sweet little lip prints dearest and honey it won’t be long before we will have our lips pressed together and holding each other so awful tight. Please take wonderful care of my precious parts Honey, gee they are so awful wonderful and I love them so awful much. Yours are fine dearest, miss you so darn much but they will be back together before so very long darling. Honey you are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world and I love you so awful darn much and dearest you know I always will.

Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dearest. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dearest. Please be awful, awful careful now dolly and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife. Remember now dearest, chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dearest.
