My Dearest Darling Wife,

Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Well darling no sweet letters today but I am sure hoping some more comes in right away now. Gosh Honey those three I received yesterday were so darn sweet, just like all your wonderful letters are. Gosh Darling your precious letters mean the world and all to me and they are so darn sweet. They make me so awful awful happy dearest and make me feel so wonderful all over. Gee darling it just gives me the grandest feeling all over when I can get your precious letters. Gosh Honey I sure hope you are getting my letters all right now cause I know you feel so awful when you don’t hear from me. Won’t it be wonderful when we are back in each others arms dearest and won’t have to write letters any more. You are so darn sweet dolly and I love you so awful, awful darn much.

I am feeling pretty good now dearest and getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now dolly. Well Honey it has been raining here today but it has stopped now. It cooled things off a little and that sure is a relief. Well my cold is about the same dear. My tonsils are a lot better today and I sure hope they don’t get sore again now. I am really blowing my nose today. I sure don’t see how I get so darn many colds, but it seems like everyone is having the same trouble. I guess it is just the way the climate is. Well I worked last nite dearest and boy is that ever a long shift. I sure will be glad when this week is over and I am back on the day shift for a week. Gee darling it will be so wonderful when I am back in your precious arms and back on the job again working regular hours.

Honey you was telling me that Arville Robertson wrote you a letter and wanted my address and that he has been discharged and married since he got home. Boy was I ever surprised to hear that. He lives at Troy, Kansas dear, just a short distance from St. Joe Missouri. He went home on furlough in February. No I had never said anything about him dear. I guess I had just kind of forgot about him. He is a real nice fellow and a sort of guy that really makes friends with everyone. He was married and divorced before he came in the army and he was writing to this girl all the time he was overseas. I am just wondering if he got out on the point system or how he managed to get out.

Darling you was saying that you took our army book to the office the other day. I’ll bet everyone did sure think it was nice dear. Gee but I will be glad when I am back in your sweet arms and we can look at it together dearest. I’ll say it will be wonderful when we can have our discharge papers to put in there darling. Gee darling you are so darn sweet to make a book like that for me.

Honey dear I sure hope this finds you feeling swell and everything going along all right in every way at home now. Please take it easy now dearest and don’t work to hard now. Honey you said you asked him to about your raise again and he said that he was still trying to get it through. Gosh Honey I sure hope you get it alright cause you are sure deserving of it. You have worked so darn hard darling and saved us so much and gee but I am proud of you darling. Gosh Honey it will be so darn wonderful when I am back in your sweet arms and back on the job again so I can be making some good money once again.

Honey you was saying you saw where Minnie Bell received the Purple Heart for her husband. No I don’t suppose he meant a whole lot to her and I’m not the least bit surprised to hear that she is already running around and was before he was killed. She was running on him while he was there in the states. I can’t understand what people are thinking about nowadays. It just doesn’t seem like they get married and love each other more every day. Our love is real true love dearest and straight from the heart, a love that will never fade away in the least way. Gee darling for thirty two months now we have really belonged to each other and we have been so awful darn happy even though we haven’t been able to be together. Our day is coming dearest and boy when they do we are sure going to celebrate in every way.

Honey dear you are so darn sweet and I love you to awful, awful darn much and you know I always will dearest. You are so darn sweet and precious in every way dolly. Gee darling it will be so wonderful to hold you so awful close to me and kiss you so often Honey dear I know God hears our prayers and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible now. Please take wonderful care of my precious parts dearest, gee but they are wonderful and I love them so awful darn much. Yours are fine dearest, miss you so darn much. You are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world dolly and I love you so awful darn much and you know I always will dearest.

Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dearest. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dear. Please be awful careful now dearest and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife now. Remember dolly chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dear.
