My Dearest Darling Wife,

Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Well dolly no precious letters today but I am sure hoping that tomorrow brings some. I received another letter from Arville Robertson today, the only letter I got. Gee darling your precious letters mean the world and all to me and they are so darn sweet. They make me so awful, awful happy dearest and make me feel so wonderful all over. Gosh Honey it just gives me the grandest feeling all over when I can get your precious letters. Gee darling I sure hope you are getting my letters all right now cause I know you feel so much better when you can hear from me dear. Won’t it be heavenly when we are back in each others arm dearest and won’t have to write letters any more. Honey you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful darn much.

I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now dearest. Well Honey it has been a pretty nice day here, plenty hot though. Sure hope you are having some nice weather now dearest. Well Honey I am sure tired tonite, really put in a day today. I hear now that they are talking about putting us on twelve hour shifts. Boy it is about all I can do to take ten. You don’t have time to do anything now but sleep eat and work. Gee darling I will be so darn happy when this thing is all over and I am back in your precious arms and on a regular job. Our time is coming dear and boy honey when it does we are sure going to make up for all this lost time.

Well Honey there was just some more mail come in and I got a letter from Curtis. He is still in the states, in Louisiana somewhere. He said he was expecting to come over in a couple of months, but he has been expecting to do that for about two years now. He said that his wife was living there with him. He was also telling me that Faust and Gregory are here in the Philippines someplace but he never gave me their address so I wouldn’t know where to look for them. I would sure like to run into someone I knew. There has been a lot of the boys that have met friends from their home here.

Well Honey you was telling me the Olivia’s boyfriend was coming home on furlough and they were getting married. Gee but I’ll bet she is happy dear. Gosh Honey I know it is awful hard on you to see all the girls go to their husbands and boyfriends and yours still gone. Our day is coming though dearest and honey when it does we will be so awful, awful happy. I guess maybe I have had a few tough breaks since I have been in the army dear by being sent overseas right away, with no furlough or anything like that but darling I am so thankful to God for putting me in an outfit like I am in and all like that. You will never really be able to understand just how everything over here goes dear until I am back in your sweet arms and can tell you everything. I’ll say our happiness hasn’t been up to par these past three years dear but like you said honey surely it won’t be long before we will have our full happiness once again. I sure don’t see how some of those guys get to stay in the states so darn long. There is that fellow dear, five years in the army and still in the states. I guess it is just the breaks a man gets. But darling you keep that precious little chin up now and you know I will to dearest and honey I know everything will turn out swell in every way for us. Honey we have our meeting planned so perfect and gee we will be so darn happy when our time does come. Boy Honey I just think all the time about our first embrace and all the wonderful ones we will have after that. Gee darling we will be so awful close together and then in a very few short minutes we will really be close together Honey. It is going to be almost continuously with out the towel, right dearest.

Sure hope this finds you feeling swell dearest and everything going along all right in every way now dolly. Sure hope you don’t have to much work now dearest and I sure hope you aren’t having any more trouble with that awful girl. Boy Honey I sure don’t want you to ever take anything off her cause you don’t have to. Please take it easy now dolly and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife and don’t work to hard now dear.

Boy Honey I sure do like my new sunglasses. They are shaped so good and seem to fit so nice. That sure is a good color to. I am sure glad they got here all right dearest. I had just about given that package up as lost, on the road all that time. Gee but I hope I get my picture right away now dolly, I want it so bad Honey.

Darling you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful darn much and you know I always will dearest. Isn’t it wonderful to be married and really own each other dearest. We sure wouldn’t be as happy as we are now if we weren’t married dearest. Darling when I get you in my arms I am going to hold you so awful, awful tight and kiss you so often, just one time right after another darling, yes I am honey. Gee darling you are so precious in every way and I am so awful proud of you. Honey dear you are so darn sweet and gee all mine. Please take wonderful care of my precious parts dearest, gee but they are wonderful and I love them so darn much. Yours are fine dolly, miss you so awful much. Honey dear you are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world and I love you so awful, awful much and you know I always will dearest.

Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dearest. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dearest. Please be awful, awful careful now dearest and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife now dolly. Remember now dolly, chin up and always happy. Tell all hello now dear.
