My Dearest Darling Wife,

Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Gee darling I received two of the sweetest letters from you today and I was so thrilled to get them dearest. I also received one from another one of my buddies that went home. Yours was the twentieth, seventh and eighth of May dear. Gee darling your precious letters mean the world and all to me and they are so darn sweet. They make me feel so wonderful all over. Gosh Honey it just gives me the grandest feeling all over when I can get your precious letters. I sure hope you are getting my letters all right now dearest. Gee darling you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful darn much.

I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now. Well it is a pretty nice day here, plenty warm though. We have sure had a lot of rain here lately. Sure hope you folks are having some nice weather now. Well Honey I have been having trouble with one of my eyes but it is a lot better today. I think I must of caught cold in it or some thing. It just keeps matting up all the time and boy when I get up in the morning I have to pry it open and takes me about five or ten minutes to get it all cleaned up. It was sure bad yesterday evening and last nite but a lot better this morning and all day today. Well Honey I am on the nite shift now. Last nite went by pretty fast and I sure hope the rest of the nites go by fast.

Gee darling I just got another package from you and I was so glad to get it. It was the one with the shampoo dear, sure did come in good time. I sure do hope this helps my hair now dear. Gee but I was glad to get my swell package dear. It had tooth powder and stationary and candy in it to dear. Boy Honey I sure am enjoying the candy to. My buddies sure did like it to dear. Gee but I am glad to get that shampoo dear and I sure do hope it stops some of this falling hair. Gosh Honey you are so darn sweet to send me so many swell things and do everything in your power to get me things. One of these days I will be able to repay you for all this dear and I sure hope it isn’t so far off Honey. Honey I think you sent my picture just after you did this package and I sure hope it isn’t long before I get it dear. Gee but I want to get it so bad dear.

Well Honey this buddy I heard from today is the one from Michigan that you sent that penant to his folks. He left in April and the twentieth of May he was discharged. He sure is one happy guy to. There has been several of the guys discharged that went back on rotation and furlough. George had eighty nine points. I sure don’t see how they figure it. He got two bronze stars for the first place here in the Philippines and they are only counting one of them here and those guys in the states are getting credit for both of them. They are getting credit for three and we are only getting credit for two. Then some of the fellows that I have heard from had enough points but they were considered essential and they wouldn’t let them out. I think the twenty seventh of this month they are suppose to announce the exact number of points you have to have to be discharged and most everyone thinks it will be lowered from eighty five points. Then from the way I understand it there is a new survey made every three months and you get to add the points you have made in those three months which would usually mean six more for me. I sure do hope they get this all straightened now and let a person know just how he stands. About the time I get enough to get out they will change it to something else I expect but maybe not. Gosh Honey to be able to get discharged out of here before this was all over would really be something for us and gee but we would be happy. Honey our day is coming and it might not be so awful far off. I know God hears our prayers darling and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible now. Gee darling I am so darn lonesome for you and want to see you so darn bad. In just a short time it will be three years since we last saw each other dear and what lonesome years they have been for us. But darling we have something to look forward to and even though I don’t have enough points at the present I have a pretty good number and maybe something will come about where I will get in under the line for one.

Honey dear you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful darn much and you know I always will dearest. You are so darn sweet and so precious in every way dolly. Gee darling we are so happily married and love each other more every day. Our love is real true love to dear and straight from the heart. Gee darling when I get you in my arms I am going to hold you so awful, awful tight and kiss you so often just one time after another dear. I just think all the time about our first embrace dear and all the wonderful ones to follow. I will have you so awful close to me dearest and then in a very few minutes we will be as close together as two people can possibly be. Please take wonderful care of my precious parts dearest, gee but they are wonderful and I love them so darn much. Yours are fine dolly, miss you so awful darn much. You are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world dear and I love you so darn much and you know I always will dolly.

Please be awful, awful careful dearest and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife. I’ll write you as soon as possible now sug and be looking for your awful precious letters dear that mean so awful, awful much to me. Remember now dear, chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dear.
