My
Dearest Darling Wife,
Hello sweet little angel, how is my
darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better
be dearest. Gee darling I received the sweetest letter from you today and I was
so darn thrilled to get it dearest. It was so darn sweet and precious, just
like all your wonderful letters are dolly. Gee darling your precious letters
mean the world and all to me and they are so darn sweet. They make me so awful,
awful happy dear and make me feel so wonderful all over. Gee darling it just
makes a different person out of my in every way when I can get your precious
letters. I sure hope you are getting my mail all right now dearest. Gee darling
won’t it be wonderful when we are back in each others arms and won’t have to
write letters any more. You are so darn sweet dolly and I love you so darn
much.
I am feeling fine now dearest and
getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now
darling. Well Honey it is a pretty nice day here, not so awful hot but plenty
warm. It has been trying to rain off and on all day today. Sure hope you are
having some nice weather at home now dear. You said in your letter today that
it was a little cooler than it had been and I was sure glad to hear that dear.
You said you was getting rid of some of the chiggers
to dear. Gosh Honey you sure did have a time with those darn things. They sure
do worry a person all right.
Well Honey you was saying that
Vivian’s husband came back from the other side and it getting a thirty day
furlough and then coming on here. I guess they will let a lot of the boys get
home before they have to come on over here. I’ll bet she surely is happy. Our
time is coming one of these days Honey and boy when it does we sure will be happy.
Honey you was saying that one of the girls got a
letter from her husband over here and in his outfit all men with two years or
more were being sent home on furlough and then stationed in the states. Boy I
sure would like to see something like that come
through around here. The way it stands here now is that all men with thirty
seven months or more are eligible for furlough at the rate of one man per
month. It would only take about four years and a half to get the men ahead of
me out of here at that rate. It will be something entirely new in another month
or so again. Just seems like they just keep changing it time after time and hardly no one benefitting from anything. It sure does
seem to me like that with all the men they have now that they could get some
kind of a system to get men home after they put in two years or so overseas. Gee
darling I am so darn tired of all this and want to get home so darn bad I don’t
know what to do. I know God hears our prayers and will keep us safe dear and
bring us together as soon as possible now. Honey we will be so awful darn happy
when we are back in each others arms and can start our life together. There
won’t be a couple anyplace in the world that will be any happier to get back
together than us dear and surely our time isn’t to far off honey.
Honey you was asking me if they had
what they call native blankets here. No darling I have never heard of any or
seen any around any place but if I ever do run across any I will sure try and
get us one dear. There isn’t much around any place that amounts to much. What
there is to get is so darn high that you would almost have to be rich to buy
it. But now darling if I ever run across any of those blankets I will sure try
and get us one.
Darling you was
saying that Norma called you the other nite. I know
you was sure glad to talk to her darling. Boy Dan is
sure going up in the world, assistant city manager now. He sure must be well
known and well liked there in
Well Honey this is nite and it is raining here now. It sure came up a tropical
storm about five this evening and has been raining ever since. Gee darling I was just sitting here thinking about how wonderful it
will be to spend nites like this in our own little
home in each others arms. Gosh Honey we will be dressed so comfy and we
can be resting in each others arms, have the radio turned on and just talk and
talk to each other and gee be so awful comfortable dear and so darn happy. We
sure used to have some time getting to see each other when the weather was so
awful bad sometimes dear but Honey we won’t have to worry about that any more.
We will be so awful darn happy in our little home dear and everything will be
so heavenly.
Honey dear you are so darn sweet and
I love you so awful darn much and you know I always will. Honey we are so
happily married and love each other more every day. Gee darling isn’t it
wonderful to be married and love each other more every day. Gee darling isn’t
it wonderful to be married and really own each other. Honey you are the most
perfect and more precious little wife in this world and I am so darn proud of
you dolly. Won’t it be heavenly dear when we can hold each other so tight and
kiss each other so often. I’ll never let you out of my
sight when I get you in my arms dolly. Honey dear you are so darn pretty from
the tips of my sweet little toes to the tips of my beautiful blond hair and gee all my very own. Honey please take
wonderful care of my precious parts, gee but they are wonderful and I love them
so darn much. Yours are fine dolly, miss you so awful
darn much. Honey you are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this
world and I love you so darn much and you know I always will dearest.
Well sug I
guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible
now dearest. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dolly. Please be
awful, awful careful now dearest and take wonderful care of my sweet little
wife now. Remember now dearest, chin up and always happy. Tell all hello now
