My
Dearest Darling Wife,
Hello sweet little angel, how is my
darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had betted
be dearest, Gee darling I received the sweetest letter from you this evening
and I was so thrilled to get it dear. It was August the first dear so that was
sure good time. I also received two from the folks
honey. Gee darling your precious letters mean the world and all to me and they
are so darn sweet. They make me so awful, awful happy dearest and make me feel
so wonderful all over. Gee darling I sure hope you are getting my mail all
right now. Won’t it be heavenly dear when we are back in each others arms and
won’t have to write letters any more. Darling you are
so darn sweet and I love you so darn much.
I am feeling fine now dearest and
getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now dear.
Well Honey it has been a pretty nice day here, awful hot and our usual
afternoon rain though Sure hope it has cooled off a
little by now dear at home. I know that it really is awful working when it is
so darn hot dear. Well Honey I have one more day on the day shift and then I go
on the nite shift.
Darling you was
wondering what you could send me for my birthday. Honey don’t you worry a thing
about that now cause there isn’t a thing that I need and nothing I could use
over here dear. When we get back in each others arms we will get each other
presents like we want to dearest and make up for these years we have missed out
on. Gee but I wish there was something I could send you darling. This makes
three years now that I haven’t been able to get your anything dear or I guess
it is four isn’t it Honey. I spent one birthday in
Gosh Honey you said you wouldn’t be
able to get your watch until in September some time. Seven and a half isn’t so
bad to get it fixed up dear. Sure hope you don’t have any trouble with it when
you get it back now dearest. I’ll bet you really do miss it dear. I guess they
don’t have any one to work on watches now with the war going on.
Gee darling you had more work than
ever in this letter today and it had been so awful darn hot that day. Please
take it easy now darling and don’t work to hard now. Gosh Honey just take your time and if they don’t get someone to help you
just let the orders pile up. You said you was thinking
about getting another job to dear. Darling I want you to do whatever you think is
best. Maybe the change would help dear and like you said Honey maybe you would
be able to make more to. I sure don’t want you taking anything off that darn
girl either Honey. That one darn girl has sure caused a lot of misery to all
the girls and sure caused a lot of them to quit. I can just imagine how she is
all right. Please be awful, awful careful now dearest and take wonderful care
of my sweet little wife now.
Well Honey the old war sure is
looking better every day and I sure hope it isn’t very long before the whole
thing is over. It seems as though about one or two of those bombs just wipes a
big city off the map. Gee but they must be powerful things. The Russians seem
to be pushing them back at a pretty good clip to. I sure was glad to see them
take part in this thing cause that sure brought the end a lot closer. Gee
darling it will be so awful darn wonderful when this thing is all over and we
can really start our life together.
Honey dear you are so darn sweet and
I love you so darn much and you know I always will dearest. Isn’t it wonderful
to be married and really own each other dearest. Gee
darling my letter today had the sweetest kiss on it and it makes me feel so
wonderful to see my sweet little lip prints dearest. We will have our lips
pressed together in person one of these days honey and our arms so tight around
each other. I know God hears our prayers and will keep us safe and bring us
together as soon as possible dearest. Please take wonderful care of my precious
parts dearest, gee but they are wonderful and I love them so darn much. Yours
are fine dolly, miss you so much. Honey you are the sweetest and most adorable
little wife in this world and I love you so darn much and you know I always
will dearest.
Well sug I
guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible
now dearest. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dolly. Please be
awful, awful careful now dearest and take wonderful care of my sweet little
wife now. Remember now dolly, chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dear.
