My Dearest Darling Wife,

Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Well dolly no sweet letters so far today but I am sure hoping some comes in before the day is over. Gee darling your precious letters mean the world and all to me and they are so darn sweet. They make me so awful, awful happy dearest and make me feel so wonderful all over. Gosh Honey it just gives me the grandest feeling all over when I can get your precious letters. Honey dear I sure hope you are getting my mail all right now. You are so darn sweet dearest and I love you so darn much.

I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now dearest. Well Honey it is a pretty nice day here but it looks as though it will rain most any time. Sure hope you are having some nice weather now dearest. Well Honey I am still on the three to eleven shift. Boy it sure did rain last nite too.

Well Honey I guess that Japan isn’t going to accept our terms. There isn’t anything official yet but it sure seems like they would of sent back their word by now if they were going to accept. Gee darling I am still hoping that they will. It would mean so awful darn much to us dear and we would be so darn happy. I have been staying up at nite when I could come in from work and listening to the late broadcasts in hopes that the good news would come in. Boy all the guys are sure hoping but our hopes have sure fallen in the last twenty four hours since nothing has happened. If it doesn’t come to an end now I really don’t believe it will last so much longer dear cause we are sure putting it on them now from all sides and they can’t stand up under such a beating for very long. Gosh Honey it will be one of the happiest days in our life when this thing is all over and we can really start our life together. I know God hears our prayers and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible now darling.

Well Honey I got a letter from Curtis today and he is over here now. He is on Tinian Island. He had just been over two weeks when he wrote the letter and he was plenty sick of everything all ready. He said he saw the piece in the Kansan about me before he left. He flew over so he really hasn’t a taste of anything yet.

Honey you had been working some overtime in some of your latest letters. Gee darling it is so darn hot and then you working overtime. I know you just about burn up dear and are so awful tired when you get home. Please take it easy now dearest and Honey you get out of all that overtime you can cause it is just to darn hard on you darling. Honey you said you ask about your raise to and they told you that your name was on the list but that they had to wait for one of the fellows to come back from California. I sure do hope you get it all right now dearest cause you are sure deserving of it.

Honey you was saying that Anna Mae and you saw Thrill of a Romance at the Midland the other nite. I’ll bet that was really a good show dear. Gee darling it will be so awful wonderful when I am back in your precious arms and we can go everyplace together and really enjoy ourselves once again. Remember how we used to go to our seats we liked so much there at the tower dear and we would have our arms around each other and every once in a while a sweet kiss. Gosh Honey we always had such a wonderful time no matter where we was or what we did, just so we were together. Isn’t it wonderful to know that we can be in each others arms from the very first minute on dear and not have to leave each other for anything.

Darling you are so darn sweet and I love you so darn much and you know I always will dearest. Gosh Honey we are so happily married and love each other more each and every day. Honey won’t it be heavenly when our day finally comes and we can fulfill our plans of the present. We have everything planned so perfect dear and gee darling we are sure going to celebrate in every way to. Honey dear you are the most wonderful and most precious little wife in this world and I am so darn proud of you darling. Honey please take wonderful care of my precious parts, gee but they are wonderful and I love them so darn much. Yours are fine dolly, miss you so darn much. Honey you are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world and I love you so darn much and you know I always will dearest.

Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dearest. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dearest. Please be awful, awful careful now darling and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife. Remember now dear, chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dear.
