My
Dearest Darling Wife,
Hello sweet little angel, how is my
darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better
be dearest. Well Honey no sweet letters today but I am sure hoping that some
comes in tomorrow. Gee darling your precious letters mean the world and all to
me and they are so darn sweet. They make me so awful, awful happy dearest and
make me feel so wonderful all over. Honey dear it gives me the grandest feeling
all over when I can get your precious letters. Gee darling I sure hope you are
getting my mail all right now. Won’t it be wonderful when we are back in each
others arms and won’t have to write letters any more darling.
Honey you are so darn sweet and I love you so darn much.
I am feeling fine now dearest and
getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now dear.
Well Honey it has been a real nice day here, plenty warm of course but not to
awful bad. Sure hope you are having some nice weather now dear. Well Honey I am
still on the three to eleven shift, about two more days of it I guess.
Well darling this is the day we have
been looking for now for over three years. The whole world at
peace once again. It doesn’t really seem possible to me dear, just seems
like a dream. Gosh Honey now if they will only take me back to you just away.
It is going to take a long time to get all the boys home but surely they will
get us guys with the most time home first. At any rate dear we know that it is
all over and that in the very near future we will be back in each others arms.
I am sure hoping and praying that we can be together by Christmas dear. They
will probably put out some facts now in a few days about who will be the first
to get back and all like that and we will kind of know how we stand dear. Gosh
Honey we know that we will be in each others arms to stay when we get back
together now. It just doesn’t seem possible that it is all over dear and that I
will be a free man as soon as I get back home. Gosh Honey we have been hoping and praying so long for this and now the end has come
and we are just waiting for time now. This point system is kind of hard on some
of us guys with a lot of time over here cause there is a lot of guys that
haven’t been over so long but have a lot of time in the army and all the combat
men has more stars and such as that. That is about as fair a way as it can be
though. Gee darling
just think out chance to start a new life together at last. We
don’t know exactly when dear but we sure have a good idea it will be within the
next six months. Honey dear we have everything planned so perfectly and we are
sure going to fulfill all our plans to dear. We will have our meeting in our
room over town dear and stay there as long as we like and then we will go out
home and spend a week or so and then go on our honeymoon. Gee darling we will
be so awful darn happy and everything will be so darn wonderful. Gee darling in
each others arms twenty-four hours a day.
Honey dear I sure hope this finds
you feeling swell and everything going along all right in every way at home
now. Please be awful, awful careful now dear and take wonderful care of my
sweet little wife now. Sure hope you aren’t working to hard now dear and sure
hope the weather has cooled off to. Gosh Honey it is so darn hard on you
working inside like that when it is so awful darn hot.
This time next year honey I will be there in your arms and looking after my
sweet little wife like a real husband should. Boy Honey I’ll bet I really have
you dressed comfy all the time after I get home. When we get home from work at nite dear we will get right in to our clothes that we will
have for around home and darling I’ll bet that isn’t very much either. Gosh
Honey I just dream and think all the time about how wonderful everything will
be when we get in each others arms. We can’t really realize how heavenly it
will all be dear. We never have really got to live together and be to ourselves
since we got married darling but it ought not be so
very long until we get out chance dear. Oh gosh Honey it just doesn’t seem
possible that this think is allover and that we will all be back with our loved
ones in the near future.
Boy Honey you ought to see the guys
celebrating. I never saw such a wild bunch. They have been celebrating ever
since the first word came in and then when if was made final they really
started in. A lot of them are drunk and fighting among themselves. There is
about six guys around with broken fingers, some with banged up faces, boy what
a mess. I’m telling you honey some of them just went wild. The big guys have
been shooting and flares all over the sky and the big search lights are all on,
the ships are all blowing their whistles and really a lot of noise. They have a
huge force of military police to keep things under control. I guess everyone in
the states is really celebrating to. I am staying in pretty close to camp and
just watching cause there is to many wild guys right
at the present.
Honey dear you are so darn sweet and
I love you so darn much and you know I always will dearest. Honey isn’t it
wonderful to be married and know that we can be together from the very first
minute on now. Gosh Honey I am going to hold you so close to me all the time
and kiss you so often, just one time right after another dear. Honey dear I
know God hears our prayers and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon
as possible now. Please take wonderful care of my precious parts dearest, gee
but they are wonderful and I love them so darn much. Yours are fine dolly, miss
you so darn much. Honey you are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in
this world and I love you so darn much and you know I always will dear.
Well sug I
guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible
now dearest. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dearest. Please be
awful, awful careful now dear and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife.
