My Dearest Darling Wife,
Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Gee darling I received the sweetest letter from you yesterday evening after I had written you and I was so thrilled to get it dear. It was August the ninth dear so that was sure good time. Gee darling your precious letters mean the world and all to me and they are so darn sweet. They make me so happy dear and make me feel so wonderful all over. Honey dear it just gives me the grandest feeling all over when I can get your precious letters. Sure hope you are getting my mail all right now dear. Honey dear you are so darn sweet and I love you so darn much.
I am feeling pretty good now dear and getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now dear. Well Honey this has been a rainy day here. It has rained off and on all day and I would get about half wet every time it would rain. It sure has been cool today to. In your latest letter it was really cool at home dear and I sure hope you don’t have any more real hot weather now. Well honey I believe my finger is a little better today. It is going to have to be cut again though cause it is all swelled up. My eye sure looks a lot better too. I think it will heal up and go away now. I sure hope it does cause it was right under the eyelash on the lower lid and at times it kind of bothered me.
Well dearest things are looking better every day toward the final surrender of the Japs. I guess that they are giving up in most all the places now and they are supposed to have the official signing now in a few days I guess. I sure will be glad when we are positive that it is all over and I guess we can just about be sure of it now. Gee darling isn’t it a wonderful feeling to know that the world is at peace once again. For a year or so before we got into it we was hoping it would end dear cause we knew I would have to come and we have been hoping and praying ever since and now it is all over. We know that it won’t be so awful long now dear until we will have our happiness and can be in each others arms from now on. I sure do hope that I can be home within six months dear and surely I will if they discharge them as fast as they figure on. Every day is going to be longer than ever now dear but we know that every day is so much closer to our day Honey. Gee darling we will be so awful darn happy and everything will be so wonderful.
Gee darling I sure am anxious to receive some later mail from you and see if you have received your check yet. I can’t imagine what would be wrong unless it was a mistake made somewhere. You be sure and keep me posted on it now dear and I will see what I can find out about it.
Honey I received the price from you out of the paper. It was a pretty nice piece all right dear if they had of just gotten my little Honeys name right. I can’t understand how they got it like that. I will send it right back to you now dearest. I had sure forgotten all about that cause I never thought it would ever reach the paper. I’ll bet you sure was surprised when you looked in the paper and saw it dear.
Darling you was telling me about having a picture of me sitting on the middle window of the breakfast room and you always sit right across from it when you are eating. Gee darling you are so darn sweet and precious, just the most wonderful little wife in the world. Boy Honey I sure hope it isn’t very long before you have me sitting right across from you. Won’t it be wonderful dearest, having all our meals together, sleeping together, just together all the time. Honey dear I’m not letting you out of my sight, no sir darling not for one minute. I’ll have my arms around you and be kissing you all the time dear.
Honey you are so darn sweet and I love you so darn much and you know I always will dolly. Gee darling we are so happily married and love each other more every day. Gosh Honey isn’t it wonderful to know that we really belong to each other and can be in each others arms constantly from the very first minute on. Honey I know God hears our prayers and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible now. Please take wonderful care of my precious parts now dearest, gee but they are wonderful and I love them so darn much. Yours are fine dear, miss you so darn much. Honey you are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world and I love you so darn much and you know I always will dolly.
Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dear. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dolly.
