My Dearest Darling Wife,

Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dolly. Well Honey no sweet letters so far today but I am sure hoping some comes in before the day is over. Gee darling your precious letters mean the world and all to me and they are so darn sweet. They make me so awful, awful happy dearest and make me feel so wonderful all over. Gee darling it just gives me the grandest feeling all over when I can get your precious letters. Honey dear I sure hope you are getting my mail all right now. Honey you know I will always write you as often and as much as possible now. Dearest you are so darn sweet and I love you so darn much.

I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now dear. Well Honey it has been a pretty nice day here, now so awful hot today but plenty warm. Sure hope you are having some nice weather now dear. Well Honey I go on the nite shift tomorrow nite. That isn’t such a bad shift though, although it gets awful tiresome sometimes.

Honey I asked the company clerk about your allotment and he said that you should write them and ask about it. He said he could but you would get a lot quicker results if you did it. I sure hope you have it by now though dear and don’t have to fool around with anything. I sure can’t understand why it would be delayed like that. You be sure and let me know if you get it dear or anything that comes up.

Well Honey I guess the first troops are supposed to go into Japan tomorrow. I sure am anxious to see what kind of a reception they get. Sure hope that everything stays calm. The latest letter I received from you was written the night that peace was proclaimed dear and honey you was so happy just like I knew my little darling would be. I just kept thinking all the time they was talking about it and then after it was official, what my little darling was doing and thinking. My mind was with you constantly dear. Gee darling that means so awful darn much to us, it just isn’t explainable how happy it really made us dear. Still get it just doesn’t seem possible to me that it is really all over dear and I guess it won’t until I am back in your precious arms. Honey you was saying that Thad and Anna Mae and you went all down town in the car. I’ll bet it was really some sight and I know most everyone was so awful happy. Honey I am sure glad you got a day off to and I’ll bet my little honey just thought about us all day to. We have been over here all this time and they never gave us a minute off. We all went right ahead and worked our shifts the same as usual. Honey when I get back in your precious arms we will celebrate for everything in our own spiral way and gee but we will be happy dearest. I sure am hoping now that it doesn’t take them to long to get me back home. It will soon be thirty two months dear and gee what a long time that is honey. Darling I know God hears our prayers and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible now.

Well Honey by the time I get home there ought now be much of anything still rationed. I sure hope that they stop that as soon as possible so people can get the things they want once again and get as much of it as they want. I’ll bet it will really seem funny to everything now to have to worry with stamps and all that when rationing does stop. Of course it will take time for that just like everything else. Honey dear we won’t have to worry about the darn thing in anyway now when I get back in your arms. We can spend our week in our room and if we want to stay longer we will cause we will have plenty of time to do what ever we want to. Oh gee Honey what a wonderful day it will be when I call you from Leavenworth and tell you to be over town in so many hours and then the wonderful moment when we open the door into each others arms after three whole years. Honey dear I’ll bet it will be several mornings that we will wake up and think we are just dreaming. Gee but we will be happy dolly.

Honey dear you are so darn sweet and I love you so darn much and you know I always will dolly. We are so happily married dear and love each other more every day. Honey it is so awful wonderful to see your sweet little lip prints on my letters. It won’t be so long until we will have our lips pressed together so tight dear and our arms around each other so awful tight. Honey dear please take wonderful care of my precious parts. Gee but they are wonderful dear and I love them so darn much. Yours are fine dolly, miss you so darn much but they will be together before so very long now dear. Honey, you are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world and I love you so darn much and you know I always will dolly.

Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dear. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dolly. Please be awful, awful careful now dear and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife. Remember now dolly chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dear.
