My Dearest Darling Wife,

Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Well dolly no sweet letters today but those two yesterday were so darn sweet and precious dear, just like all your wonderful letters are darling. Honey your precious letters mean the world and all to me and they are so darn sweet. They make me so awful, awful happy dearest and make me feel so wonderful all over. Gee darling it just gives me the grandest feeling all over when I can get your precious letters. I sure hope you are getting my mail all right now dear. Honey you know I will always write you as often and as much as possible now so please don’t ever worry dear. Won’t it be wonderful dear when we are back in each others arms and won’t have to write letters any more. Honey you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful darn much.

I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now dear. Well Honey it has been a pretty nice day here, awful hot though. I thought I would burn up. We are working on all of our equipment now and boy that is sure a tough job and sure a dirty one to. Sure hope you are having some nice weather now dear and sure hope it isn’t to hot. Well Honey I finally found out what was wrong with my finger. I had the doctor lance it once and he opened it all up and he never found anything in it. It seemed to get a little better after he opened it and then it started getting worse and there was a couple of days that I’ll bet I got a teaspoon full of stuff out of it and it felt like it was going to burn us with fever. The last day or so it seemed to be getting a little better and all the skin started pealing off from the fever that was in it. Well tonite I was fooling with some of that loose skin and I noticed a dark object right in the edge of my nail and I sterilized a real sharp knife blade and I get a piece of wood and paint together out of there, about three or four times the size of a pin head. It sure does feel swell now to and that piece had worked out of the finger to where the finger is almost healed up now so I think it will be all right in a day or so. Boy I never saw such a piece come of a place like that. I knew there surely must be something in there when it was hurting me so darn bad.

Well Honey from the way the paper talked today they are going to lower the critical score to seventy five as soon as they get Japan all signed up and everything. They didn’t say anything about having a recount either. I was sure in hopes they would have a recount as we have gained five points here that a lot of other guys wouldn’t have. If they lower it to seventy-five though it ought now be so long before they lower it again and I sure ought to be in on the first of that. These old men will sure be set for home right away if they lower it cause most of them have eighty four points. Gee darling I am hoping and praying so much that it won’t be so awful long before my turn comes and I am back in your precious arms for good. Surely it won’t be to long dear if they go ahead now and get the men out like they say they are. I was sure hoping they would get troops into Japan today but I guess it will be another day or so now on account of the storms. I sure hope that everything goes all right now when they go in.

Gosh Honey you was telling me in your letters yesterday that you got two days off for Victory Day. I guess just about everyone must of gotten two days off. I am sure glad for you dear cause I know how happy you were and I know it made you feel so much happier to be able to hear everything come in over the radio and all like that. Gee how I wish I could have been there with you dear. We would of sure celebrated dear but Honey when I get back in your precious arms we will really celebrate just the same. Gee darling we will be so awful, awful happy and everything will be so darn wonderful. Darling you was saying you was downtown one evening and got a battery for your radio. I am sure glad you was able to get one dear and I’ll bet it sure is a lot of company for you to. That sure is a swell little radio dear and I am so glad you got it. I’ll bet we have that on a lot while we are in our room dear. They should be letting go of a lot of things now that have been rationed. I expect by the time I get back that most everything will be free of rationing.

Darling you was asking me if we would be able to take the folks car or have our own by the time we went on our honeymoon. Well Honey if possible by then we will try and have our own car but if not we will use the one at home. I expect it will be a year or so before they get to making cars good again and get it down to where everyone can get one. We will see just how things turn out by then dear. Gee darling it will be so swell to go on our honeymoon and drive ourselves and be able to go where ever we want to and whenever we want to. We have everything planned so awful perfect dear and we will be so darn happy. We will spend a few days there at the Baker dear, and then go where ever else we want to and enjoy ourselves in every way possible. Gosh Honey we won’t be able to believe it is really true for a few days I’ll bet.

Sure hope this finds you feeling swell and everything going along all right in every way at home now dear. Honey please be awful, awful careful now and take good care of yourself and don’t work to hard now dear. Gosh Honey I am sure glad you got a couple days off cause you sure need all the rest you can get darling. Please take it easy now dolly.

Honey dear you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful, awful darn much and you know I always will dear. Honey isn’t it wonderful to be married and really own each other. Gosh Honey when I get you in my arms I am going to hold you so awful, awful tight and kiss you so often. Gee darling you are so darn pretty from the tips of my sweet little toes to the tips of my beautiful blonde hair and all my very own. Honey I know God hears our prayers and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible now. Honey please take wonderful care of my precious parts, gee but they are wonderful and I love them so very much. Yours are fine dolly, miss you so darn much. Honey you are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world and I love you so darn much and you know I always will dolly.

Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dolly. Please be awful, awful careful now dearest and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife. Remember now dear, chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dear.
