My Dearest Darling Wife,
Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dearest. Gee darling I received two of the sweetest letters from you today and I was so darn thrilled to get them Honey. I also got two from the folks. Yours was the twenty sixth and twenty seventh of August dear so that was pretty good time. Gee darling your precious letters mean the world and all to me and they are so darn sweet. They make me so awful, awful happy dearest and make me feel so wonderful all over. It just gives me the grandest feeling all over when I can get your precious letters dolly. Honey dear you sure aren’t getting my mail very good and I sure can’t understand it. I sure hope it is coming in all right now dearest. Honey you know I will always write you as often and as much as possible now. You are so darn sweet dolly and I love you so darn much.
I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now dear. Well Honey it has been a real nice day here today, not so awful hot. Sure hope you are having some nice weather now dear. You said in your letter today that it was pretty cool that day so maybe you won’t have so awful much real hot weather dear.
Well Honey they have lowered the points to eighty now. The last couple of days they talked about having a recount to but today they never said anything about the recount. They are not for sure now whether we are going to give five points for here or not if they do recount. If they don’t give us that five points and make a recount I will have seventy nine points, just under the line. I guess someday it will get down to me though. I sure hope that when I get enough points that they turn me loose then. A fellow never knows what the army is going to do. Gosh Honey I am hoping and praying so much that I will be in your arms right away now, at least by Christmas or shortly afterward but a guy never knows exactly where he stands. We will be so darn happy when our time does come dear and everything will be so heavenly. Gee darling we have everything planned so perfect and it will all be so heavenly when our plans come true dear.
Honey dear I finally got around to get a picture taken. It isn’t much of a picture dear but I know you will enjoy it dear. I sure hope you get it by your birthday Honey. I am going to send you this tinted one tonite dear and I will send you one that isn’t tinted in my next letter. I really like the untinted one the best. My hair looks like it hasn’t been combed for a week but I washed my hair just before I went down to have this taken and I just couldn’t get i9t to lay down like I wanted it to.
Honey I am sure glad you got one of the pictures I sent you and sure hope you got the other two dear. They weren’t much good cause the film had stuck and made places on the pictures. Maybe when you had the negatives made though that they come out a little better. No honey that isn’t my flag. That belongs to one of the boys here in the tent. He bought it from some guy here. They are a fortune for them.
Darling my letter today had a lock of my beautiful blonde hair in it and I was so thrilled to get it darling. Gee honey I sure hope it isn’t very long before I am back in your precious arms and can run my hands over my pretty hair. I will help you fix it to dear when ever you want me to and if nothing else I will just watch you darling. Gosh Honey you always take wonderful care of your hair and I sure always want you to be that way dearest. Honey it will be so darn wonderful when I am back in your precious arms and can tell you how wonderful you are in every way and how much I really love you. Honey I never will forget when we went out on the hill by Ragans just before I left, you know what I mean dear. Honey I have that and the other you sent me to and now this and gee it is all so wonderful dear and makes me feel so close to you dear.
Honey dear you are so darn sweet and I love you so darn much and you know I always will dolly. Gee darling isn’t it wonderful to be married and really own each other. Our love for each other is so strong dear, as strong as any couples in this world. Honey when I get you in my arms I am going to hold you so awful, awful tight and kiss you so often dearest. I know God hears our prayers dearest and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible now dolly. Please take wonderful care of my precious parts dearest, gee but they are wonderful and I love them so darn much dolly. Yours are fine Honey, miss you so darn much. You are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world dear and I love you so darn much and you know I always will honey.
Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dear. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dear. Please be awful, awful careful now dearest and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife. Remember now dearest, chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dear.
