My Dearest Darling Wife,

Hello sweet little angel, how is my darling little wife. Awful, awful sweet I know and fine I hope. You had better be dolly. Well Honey no sweet letters so far today but I am sure hoping some comes in before the day is over. Gee darling your precious letters mean the world and all to me and they are so darn sweet. They make me so awful, awful happy dearest and make me feel so wonderful all over. Honey I sure hope you are getting my mail all right now. You are so darn sweet dearest and I love you so awful darn much.

I am feeling fine now dearest and getting along all right in every way now. I have plenty of everything now dolly. Well Honey it has been pretty nice today, awful hot though. It sure is awful right now and the mosquitoes really bite you if you don’t wear a shirt. Sure hope you are having some nice weather at home now dear and sure hope it hasn’t turned to cold.

Well Honey we are alerted to move out but we don’t know anything for sure. I am sure hoping it would be the real thing now and we could get out of here in the next few days but I guess time will tell. I would tell you to stop writing dear but you know how the army works you never know anything for sure. We can’t get any passes and have to stay right around camp. I expect they will do us this way about three or four times before we really leave. Gee but I am hoping and praying that we can get out of here right away dear but I sure have my doubts. Maybe this will be a starter though and maybe it won’t be to long before we will really be on our way. Gosh Honey it doesn’t really seem possible. When I get on the boat and we start out it will just seem like we are going to some other island. It won’t really seem real until I can see the good old states. I don’t really think this will amount to anything dear and I expect we will be off the alert by tomorrow night but just in case it should turn into something I will try and drop you a few lines to let you know but if I don’t you will know I am on my way back if you don’t hear from me for quite awhile but I am sure I will get to write you a few lines before I leave. Probably by the time I write you tomorrow we will be off the alert and it will be another two or three weeks before we hear anything again. Gosh Honey it will be one of the happiest days in our life when we are back in each others arms for good and can really start our life together.

Well Honey you said you had lunch with Jerry the other day. I’ll bet it was really swell talking to her Honey. Sure hope you get your brunch coat put together like you want it dear, you said you had it already wet out. Gee darling you are so darn swell at sewing and make your things so perfect, just my own sweet little darling. Maybe before to long I’ll be back to help you Honey dear, don’t know what I could do, but I will just watch if nothing else.

Honey you said you heard some guy over the radio out of an aviation engineer battalion and he was in Japan and he had his first shower since he left the states, twenty nine months ago. Well I guess I have got it on him about four months cause I haven’t had one since I left the states either. It sure will be swell to be able to take a good hot water bath once again and it will sure be more wonderful than ever now cause I will have my darling right there with me. We are going to be right with each other where ever it may be dearest. Gee darling won’t it all be wonderful and we will be so darn happy.

Honey you are so darn sweet and I love you so awful, awful darn much and you know I always will dearest. Gee darling we are so happily married and love each other more every day. Honey when I get you in my arms I am going to hold you so awful, awful tight and kiss you one time right after the other dear. Honey I know God hears our prayers and will keep us safe and bring us together as soon as possible now. Please take wonderful care of my precious parts now dearest, gee but they are wonderful and I love them so darn much. Yours are fine dearest miss you so awful, awful darn much but they will be together before long dear. Honey you are the sweetest and most adorable little wife in this world and I love you so darn much and you know I always will dolly.

Well sug I guess I had better close for this time and I’ll write you as soon as possible now dolly. I’ll be looking for your precious letters now dearest. Please be awful, awful careful now dear and take wonderful care of my sweet little wife. Remember now dolly, chin up and always happy. Tell all hello dear.
