Dear Aunty,

Thanks for the Easter card and money. I’ve received quite a few cards so far. The eggs were good, except they were cracked quite a bit. Tomorrow were going to cut the cake.

I flew with my crew today, for the second time since I’ve been here. Our pilot is a swell fellow. I slept for four hours while we were flying. A plane was to have left for Ahron this afternoon but because of engine trouble, the flight was postponed.

I’m just finishing up “the Robe” and it’s a really good book. I’m going to read “Magnificent Obsession” next, because it is by the same author.

I had to go to the dentist again here; and he filled the same tooth that was filled at Columbia, and found two more besides. Sometimes I wonder if they know what they’re doing.

Here it is Easter! It was a pretty good day, though, even though it almost would have turned out bad.

Roger and I was to go to church this morning, but we were supposed to fly. Luckily, we didn’t have to fly, so I came back before Roger,- to get some waffles at the Service Club. (I’ve been looking all over town for waffles and they sell them in the Service Club). When I got back, Roger wasn’t any place around and his work clothes were hung up. I didn’t think he would leave without me or without putting a note on my bed. I waited until 11:00 and was just about ready to break his neck. Finally, I went up after my pass, and hear he had left at 9:30. I was really burned up- but went to town anyway, and was an hour late for church, but I was in time for the collection and sermon. It was awfully nice too.

After church I walked all over town trying to find him. I ended up at the U.S.O. and right after I walked in, Rog came in. Here, he was as mad as I was, because one of the fellows at the barracks had told him I had already left. So he was thinking the same thing I was; only he didn’t even go to church.

We had dinner in town anyway, and walked some more. It was a beautiful day.

We went to chuch last night, and heard the choir give an Easter concert, so it wasn’t too bad.

Its time to go to school now- I’m so sleepy!

                                                                                                            Love,

 Don
