Wednesday Night

Dearest Sweetheart;

            Tonight we went over to visit Ross Reynolds and his family. Do you remeber them from Anderson? Sorry to have misspelled “remembered” up there, but am sure you’ll excuse me? I have certainly been beside myself for the past month now, so you can expect me to write most anything now and then.

I have had to spend all day in San Francisco and leave Mother and Dad to their own resources. I leave on the 7:15 car in the morning and get home about 6:30 at night and I’m plenty tired too! This is the hardest work I’ve done in my life and I’m not joking either. I even thought that training was hard but this doesn’t even hold a candle to those days, Dear! College was easy in comparison, too. Maybe this is so different because I’m walking more than I’ve ever done. After this is over next October 21st, I’m going to take a real long rest because I surely feel in the need for one. Hope I can last out that long, though! And here I thought that I’d have time to really mess around this summer and do some of things that I’ve wanted to do for two years or more now.

            Will write more tomorrow,

Lots of love,

Berna Lou
