Sunday Morning

Dear Sweetheart;

            Yesterday I received a letter from the APO in SF and they said there were several letters there from me and no forwarding address, so I filled out a paper with the information on it and thought I’d better tell you about it, just in case there is a delay. For goodness sakes don’t tell me that I forgot to put some of your ABC’s on the letter again? As perturbed and mixed up as I’ve been the past few weeks anything could have happened, so just please excuse it. Did I ever tell you that I got a B in that Econ course? You know, I’m prouder of that than I am of my A’s because had I not done real work, in the final I would have received a C. Those courses take background, especially when there are Econ majors in the class. Darling, just what shall I bitch about now that I won’t be taking finals at the University? The two years that you suffered through my examinations must have seemed like ages, huh? I still can’t believe that it’s all over and as far as I know, I get a degree, but not until Sept. 21st - - Cal isn’t going to waste any paper until all reports are in! Well, there isn’t much to write about at this moment Amelia stayed all night and we are just getting ready for waffles. She crocheted a white straw yarn beanie for me and washed and starched it and is shaping it over the bottom of the coffee maker! We saw the hats made-up in stores in San Francisco for three dollars; ours are exact copies and Amelia made four hats out of 30 cents worth of yarn!

Lots of love,

Berna Lou
