4 June

Dear Mother,

Well, we can mention Lengayiu Gulf – Iwo Jima and Noumea – New Caledonia.  Well, I am glad the first two are over.   The last place was a rest we were glad for.  Since then we have moved around aplenty.  I got to see Dottie Rutter and since that eve have been on the go.  Right now we are ready to shove off again.  For where we do not know- I am glad we are ready because it has rained so- and it will take a week to dry out.

I have received mail to 10 May – and boy I am anxious to see how things are.  When we get the mail it is a wild scramble and there read, read.

I am well, safe, and strong.  Don’t worry.  I will be o.k. Well it won’t be long till one year will be up.  3 mos. – yeh – Boy time flies.

I am getting papers and read our daily so it makes it nice.

Now this letter must get off immediately to make the mail.

George says he has moved to 83 Lafayette Ave and Mary is living at 52 Riverside Drive.  Say those war jobs are o.k.  I hope I get some of that dough when I get back.  Well – I must be off.

Love,

Bud
