Dear heart,

Just a little note to my turnip, it is such a relief to be real busy as I have lately.  Time goes much faster and the mind is occupied.

Tootsie bell, you have no idea how nice is to get out of bed in the morning and see that loveable face of yours staring at me from my new photograph of you.  And at night also before I cork off for the day.  It is really a source of companionship and I do not feel near as lonesome as when I was without it.  I never knew how much just a picture could mean.  I am sure glad that I have it dear.

There is no real news here today.  I am off this PM to the big critique on our last problem just finished and if there is any Cain to be raised about the way things went this is the day on which they raise it.  I however am no particularly concerned as everything seemed to go alright this time.  The only thing that could happen is for them to disagree with the tactical decisions made and from the results I don’t think that this time that will be the case.  Second guessing is so easy you know and most people are very prone to indulge in it.  That is the sort of thing you have to face always when you have a tactical command.  How did I get off on the subject?

Geo.L is not back yet and I am anxious to find out what he found out in Washington bout things.  I don’t know why I have the hunch but I feel that he will probably have a lot of dope when he gets back.  Of course I will pass it on to you when I get it, if any.  I gave him several questions for myself to get answered if he was able to.  Of course that is doubtful but we will see.  I have had no rumors from you lately my little chicken.  How come? I suppose though that you don’t get out to RF as much as you used to and I can see where that could get tiresome too.  Not to mention the distance in reference to gas and tires.

I sent you along by regular mail some souvenirs of my Lima trip.  The bill of fare with the signatures of all the high mucky mucks on it ad a set of photos of Lima.(The tourist kind).  See if you can read the Spanish my little one?  If you have occasion to buy any wine try to get some of the Peruvian wine.  It is excellent especially the Sauterne.  I know that you would like it and I believe that they are shipping it in to the US.  It is not too expensive either.

The picture sure had a nice frame on it.  The usual good taste of my lady I take it.  Loads of love to you my dearest.  Adios.
