Thursday

Darling Mine,

Well your old Pop is stirring around trying to collect his few belongings, or at least to get them in order so that they can be lifted. Now that is not a hard job until you start to do it. Really tho I can move in about three hours and will do so on Sunday back to my old haunts. Beginning with the receipt of this letter the old APO number of 825 is back in effect. Move here move there and then back again – it doesn’t make sense but then a lot of things do not.

I suppose that by this time you have seen Geo. L and have I all the latest dope on Panama. I do not doubt that it was not very glowing if G gave it to you for I think his opinion is somewhat influenced by this time. Or did he talk. If he was at all inclined to my Baby Doll was sure to get it out of him.

Jimmy is due back from Mexico tomorrow and I am anxious to see him and hear from him what he found out in the states at the conference he attended in Frisco. The big shots were there and I believe that our outfit was discussed a bit. Now don’t worry dear. Not as a unit but as individuals and I mean the youngsters. Not yours truly. I have only one objective now and that is to arrange somehow in the near future for a leave with my darling. And a long one this time. I told you about the probability of my going to Orlando in October and a long leave afterward. Well that has been changed to November/ Second Monday in November and a ten day course followed by that leave we talk of. As a matter of fact that will be a lovely time of the year for a leave. What would you like in New Orleans dear heart ---- now, now – well we will just have to wait and see. I had word yesterday also that my school is out again this class—no soap and I really don’t care. I had just as soon they did not turn my name in again. I guess that you really do not feel disappointed either do you dear.

I am just before being off to look over new office space and setup – now if you were along I know that you could be of no end of help in arranging things. You are always so deft at putting the proper things in the proper place (even me sometimes). The furniture is all the same color tho so I guess it is not much of a problem. I think we will have a nice location cool and plenty of room but I still do not want to move again. Darling lady mail has been scarce from you the last several days but it will arrive soon, maybe today and when it does I will try to make a more interesting letter at once. Love to you my dearest all I have and my adoration as well. Adios.
