Diane dearest,

I have certainly been what you call in the jump with the show on [illegible] -  I was surprised I didn’t hear from you unless you got away earlier than Tuesday (today).  I tried to call you turci but the apt phone did not answer so I presumed you were lucky enough for a cancelation.

The show today went well, thank goodness and Gen. Yount expressed his opinion to that affect - We still have tomorrow to go but I think it will be OK.  Gen. Matheny is staying here with me but Gen. Yount chose the hotel – all meals out but breakfast of course so we have gotten along fine.

I leave Thursday for Ft. Myers-Buckingham Field in case you need to reach me.

My foot locker has arrived – I am having the income tax “fixed” – about a thousand dollars “toots” – not so bad (though I am a little faint)

The car is back in fine shape, really 91.00 rocks, also my little charm a brand new set of tires are installed, 69.00 stones.  Now we have a car again and it really came out cheaper than I anticipated.  I kept the old tubes because they are pre war and the experts advise it – Isn’t that swell –

I hope your business is going along without disappointment dear or too much trouble – I have a little further news nothing of immediate importance, when I see you next after having talked to the two generals – we will be here a while I’m sure.

I am missing you little charm, nobody to squeeze in the morning and evening- lots of people have asked for you – as usual you are well established here already – well that’s my Diane’s way – I love you little “cricket” see you soon
