Dearest Nick:

I am very very sorry for not writing and thanking you for the nice Birthday Card. It sure was cute. I thought you forgot about me long ago. I would have wrote sooner but I did not have your address. I got it off of Hazel. Did Hazel tell you when my birthday was, or how did you know?

Dick and I are still going together and Miriam and Nick. We four sure have some swell times. We had a party at the house on Saturday night and there were more girls than boys so we were hunting Squarie but we couldn’t find him so Bill’s father ran into Nick. He needs a new fender for sure, and he did get a shaking up but that didn’t hurt us, we’re tough. I received a number of nice gifts. Everyone said they had a swell time especially Dick. I met his mother and I think she is very nice.

Hazel and Cloyd went to Somerset the other day. Everyone thought she went to get married she said the joke was on (I wonder). I think those two will make a swell pair. By the way Pauline and Ben said to tell you they said “hello” how did you get over the night we went to Cumberland. Miriam who said “hello” but she is not feeling so well today for she has a bad cold (Too much [unknown]). Well I must close for I have nothing more to say and algebra class is coming up. I’ll write soon for I am anxious to hear how you are getting along in camp.

P.S. Dick couldn’t Your Pal get through with the “Hety” school bus it sure was drifted (what weather)
