Thursday Night, April 3rd 1941

Hello Nick,

Well I guess I’ll still answer your letter because I decided to stay home for Easter so I’ll answer your letter, by the way write home and Anna will answer. I didn’t mean that she won’t write, you know she hates to write even to me. So that’s not unusual. So write home and later when I’m settled I’ll give you my address. I wrote Steve a letter but didn’t get any answer yet. Are you going home for Easter? How do you like your job? Daddy started to plow already. It’s very nice here now. I cleaned our yard and planted flowers all around and sowed grass seed over it so I imagine it will be nice in the summer. Joe Shorago is settled in his new home. I haven’t seen either of them since I’m home. Mother said if you’re not working sometimes. Why come up and stay with us if you want to. We have 300 peeps, got them before I come home. They are big now. So John D is married.  Where does he stay now? Is your father working every day? Does Steve write to you since he’s away? We are having for Easter a roast goose, wish you could come. I think I’ll leave Sunday night or someday next week. [It] depends on the kind of Luck I have. Last night we had company. Mrs. Berry and her son and his wife [came over] for a few hours. I don’t know what else to write so I’ll close. Maybe next time I’ll have more to say. Hope you have a good time on Easter. If possible, come to Benton.

We are all sending the best Easter wishes to you.

                        Your Cousin,

                        Stella
