William Dunlap

January 19, 1945

     William Dunlap was born in the year 1924, and on January 14, 1943 he enlisted in the United States Army. However, before enlisting, Dunlap completed his high school education. Private Williard E. Dunlap was killed in the defense of his country. The President requested that the Secretary of War, Henry Stimson, send Dunlap's mother the Purple Heart. Mrs. Viola C. Dunlap lived in San Francisco, California at the time of her son's death.
