Dear Anna,

Just a few lines to let you know that I have received your last letter as of February 1, 1943 and I am very happy to hear that you and the rest of the family is in best of health.

I am in the best of health and doing very well. I hope that this whole thing will be over soon so that I may see you all again.

I can’t think of much to say except that I miss you a lot. Remember me to your mother and every one else at home.
