Dear Anna,

Received your most welcomed letter and I am glad to hear that you are all well and I am happy to say that I am the same so far!

I suppose that by this time you have heard that I am now in Sicily.  The land of fruit, Romance and Sunshine and I mean it is pretty hot here.

I hope that Mom and everyone else at the shore is well and having a good time or should I say by the time this letter reaches you have had a good time.

I hope that Em, Elsie and Rosalie are well and like their new Home and I certainly hope they will enjoy it.

You ask in your letter what I would like for X-mas well if you like you can send me an eye glass case so that I may have a place to put my glasses when I retire at night in my famous pup tent.  I think I will set one up in the back yard when I get back so that I can practice once in a while.

You can also send me some tooth powder (not paste) and shaving sticks a metal toothbrush holder some chewing gum, a fountain pen (not an expensive one)  I think I can use a wrist watch band so if you see any that re durable I would like you to send me one or two make sure I will be able to put it on the watch myself as there is no way of having it put on for me.

I suppose this seems like quite an order but if you can send these things I will appreciate it very much.

I am sending you a few more picture cards and will send you more as I am able to get them.

I send you lots of Love and give my best Regards to all.

Forever, Always Yours
