Dear Anna:

Received your most welcomed package and I want to thank you for everything you sent me.  I want everyone to know that I certainly appreciate everything that is sent to me.  I only wish I could there with you all to really show my appreciation in person.

I hope that mom and you and everyone else is in the very best of health and I sincerely hope that everyone enjoyed the Holidays.

During the Christmas Holidays I met some folks by the name of Marschall.  They were a young married couple; the husband’s name is Robert Marschall.  They invited me to their home for dinner.  We had Rabbit and Maccaroni with meat and gravy and etc.

I had a very lovely time and I mentioned you and the family.  I showed them your pictures and mentioned your names.

I could not seem to establish any family connections at all. The wife’s maiden name is Emhart she has a sister who is blond and is 20 years old.  Her name is Anny Emhart whom I had the pleasure of meeting.

They also have an elderly woman and little boy living with them. The woman’s name is also Emhart and the boy’s name is Max Emhart.  I gave the little boy the little package you had marked for some youngster and I also shared with this family some of the things you sent me for Christmas.  Since they were so nice to me I thought that you would not mind if I did this. They were very well pleased with what I gave them.  I have their pictures and their names and an invitation to their home at any time.  I told them I would like to pay them a visit after the war and I would like you to come with me.  I told them about our mutual friendship and how we felt about each other so we have a standing invitation to come to Europe after the war of course if they should come to America it is understood that they come to see us.  How about that Sweetheart?

I don’t know just when I may be able to see them again, because I am not in those parts any more, but if I ever get chance to go to see them I sure will.

I hope that everything is going along well with you and everyone else in the family and I sincerely hope that we will be together again soon.  I miss you very much and I send you all my love.

            Regards to all at home.

Forever, Always Yours

Tony
