Wed 12:30 PM

Dear Dot and Dana,

This is a beautiful day here, not too hot. I just came from chow, it wasn’t so hot, corn beck beef and potatoes and some other junk. As a rule they feed pretty good.

Had quite a tough day yesterday. I worked all day and had to go on dock, watch from 12:00 mid. To 4:00 AM in the morning. That didn’t give me much time to sleep as I had to get up at 5:30 this morning. I have been out on the boats this morning and going out this afternoon and this evening.

I went to the movies last night. Gee, it was good! Andy Hardy’s Blond Trouble. First time I have had time to go for a long time. I always liked his acting, anyhow.

One of the boys in my tent got hurt Sunday and has been in bed here ever since. The hospital is full so he has to stay here and have his meals brought to him.

I didn’t get a letter this morning and there isn’t any news around here so I haven’t got anything to write about. Will write again tonight if I get a letter.

                                    Lots of love and kisses,

                                                            Beecher
