Dearest Dot & Dana-

I was well pleased today as I get eight letters from you. Was glad to hear that you & Dana are getting along all right. There still must be quite a lot of back mail somewhere. I hope I get them before I leave here.

Dot that will be alright if you have the heavy paper put on the barn roof & I will fix it up good when I get home for good. Gee Dot, isn’t that an awful steep price for the pears $4.00 a bushel

I don’t think I could have the heart to charge that much for them even if it was the price this year. Glad you got that much money for them this year you sure need it.

Did you get the $50.00 that I sent you last pay day all right? No Dot, I don’t have to swab any watches at the present time. Most of my work is cleaning & driving my boat.

I liked the small boats pretty good back in Florida but I am getting pretty sick of them now. Once my crew & I stayed in our boat five days before coming aboard. We ate, slept, & lived in our boat. And we had some nice rainstorms too.

Have you been able to get any films lately? I would like to have some new snapshots of you & Dana. Those that I have are almost worn out. I look at them so often. Sorry you can’t have all the butter you want. We have plenty of it & there is a lot wasted too. Well dear, good night.

Love, Beecher
