My Dear Wife:

I got a letter from Lilian and she told me why I don’t write to you, to tell you the truth I am ashamed for not writing to you, but it is not all my fault. I had some of the hardest knocks any man can have and even right now I am in the Hospital again for throat trouble.  I got  tumor in my throat and they treat it with x ray, which is very powerful and my throat is pretty sore but it got to be that way to kill that growth in there. I how you and all are well,

     Your loving Husband.
