My Dear Loving Wife,

While sitting here all sad and blue I thought that I will take the greats of pleasure in addressing you a few lines of encouragement. I am so blue. This leaves me willing and truly hoping that when this reaches your most kind and loving hands that it will find you well and enjoying the best of life. (Smile) Darling I am getting along all right and truly hope I will. Are you getting along all right and dear do you still have your job? I hope that you will change your mind about going back to Virginia, but if you don’t, and nothing will do but go, you just go on and make the best of it that you can. Baby, give my love to all the family and you all pray for me. I am praying for you day and night. Baby I am writing Sister next Sunday. Last Sunday I wrote my aunt. Closing, with much love in my heart for you. Many kisses to you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx From, James Harrell
