Dear Cara,

I sure was glad I heard from you. I was afraid you were sick and broken.  I have the same trouble with my -ites all the time. I am broken and will stay broken.  All I get for my trouble is Hell & dumb luck.

Well Nimes got a better car, but he sure must take good care of the money if he expects to meet the payments.  Dorothy just made him get her new clothes for 18 dollars, and she wants a new coat that costs close to 40 dollars.  He had fun with the sick test over 3 weeks.  He dropped a big crowbar on his big toe, which split the bone & broke it.  Tonight Dorothy is going to start eating in the dining room & she must be nicely dressed.

I sure am glad for Jeane.  She is so nice to help you, and she will be rewarded for the good she does.  If you can I’d like to see you.

Jim Robert moved up to Braner in August.  A new party has moved in again.  If you will come, send a note with the time you wants Nimes to meet you.

With my best love to you from Mother
