Dear Vera:

Hoping this will find you in the best of health as I am, I answer your letter which I was very glad to receive.

I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving.

Very, I received the package you and Tonie sent.  Thanks very much.  I don’t have enough with which to express my gratitude, but I am very grateful and glad to have such cousins as you; so here’s hoping it won’t be long till I see everyone of you and maybe I can speak more and show my appreciation to everyone of you; Everything you sent arrived nicely.  I also received a package from Mary and her husband so I’ll have to write her and thank her too.

I am glad your brother was home on furlough.

Nothing much to say, everything is the same, as usual, rain and mud is with us again.

Tell me how was your annual game Thanksgiving day.  Did your team win?  I think I’ll close for this time hoping to hear from you soon.

                                                                        Love,

                                                                            Your cousin

                                                                                    Daniel
