[Actually 1945, according to the postmark]

Dear Vera:

Received your letter dated December 14 and was very glad to have heard from you, now with the same pleasure of always, I answer it hoping this will find you in best of health as this leaves me.

I am glad to head a nice Christmas and got what you wanted, there wasn’t much for us to do Christmas, but go to church and that’s all.

I’ll be waiting for that picture you told me about and don’t worry, a picture is a picture and I’ll be glad to get it too.

We have been having some awful weather, but I guess you can’t expect good weather all the time specially this time of the year.

I am glad that you are doing good in school.  Here’s hoping I get to see you graduate.

Without anything else to say I think I’ll close hoping to hear from you again soon.  My regards to all the family.

                                                                                    Love,

                                                                                                Your Cousin,

                                                                                                            Daniel
