Dear Mom,

I am addressing this letter to you, but am answering Marie’s letter to me.  I hope she doesn’t mind.

Yes, Marie, it does seem like an eternity since I put on this suit of Uncle Sam’s.  I do hope it won’t be too much longer before I can take it off and give him the clothes he doesn’t want me to have.

Your Bible school ending for the summer makes me think of some of these young boys who become very attached to one another, and then have to separate by going to different stations or fields.  It’s really a shame.  It makes them feel like they are all along and it’s a tough job to get them out of it.

It is an excellent idea of the dean to have each of you remember those of your class in prayer on each Monday.  Why I think it is perfect.

Well, well, another Weenie roast.  If you go, be sure you bundle up good. As the nights are very damp and cool.  Wear heavy clothes.  I know Mom won’t let you go if you look as though you don’t have on enough clothes.  Anyway, I hope you have a grand time. I’m going to one with you some one of these times.

I guess you will be on your vacation when you read this.  No, you can’t get have any break. Your may twin you know.  No breaks for me, no breaks for you.

As for myself, there isn’t anything to say that you don’t already know.  I’m feeling alright once again and am going to try and stay that way. I’m not going to do anything that I think will be too much for me.  However I will do all I can otherwise.

The weather is shaping up into spring, now, and it is very pretty out this way.  We didn’t get to go skiing and the weather last Tuesday was cloudy and rain was threatening.  So we went horseback riding again.

Well, I guess I’ll close as it is getting late and I want to do a thing or two before going to bed.  So until later, I’ll say so long and God Bless you all.
