Dear Mom:

I guess you have been wondering why I haven’t written since I got back. Well there isn’t any reason other than that I am too dog gone lazy. The weather has been exceptionally nice and I just get like a n***** when that heat hit me. All I want to do is lay around and sleep. I can’t get enough some how or other. I guess I had to much sourdough and on top of that that awful ride back here. It’s a beautiful ride and all of that, but it sure is a torture riding all that time. Upon my return to the base, I find that I am a member of the Board of Survivors for the NCO club. There are four others besides myself. Our duties will be, to see that the club functions on a profit bases and also to take care of any necessary repairs, entertainment and any other situation that may arise.

The only little bit of news there is to tell is, that, I almost moved out of here last week. I was on list but was taken off and that didn’t make me mad. Johnny is still here and we are both still in the Print shop and right busy.

I don’t know what else to say at this time so I may as well be on my way to dream land. Before doing so, I want you to know that I think of you all regularly and at the same time hoping you all are well. Now till I hear from you. I’ll say so long and take it easy.
