Dear Folks,

Well I will write a few times to let you know that I’m doing find.  Dad I wish I could be there to help you celebrate your birthday, but it doesn’t look like I would be there.  Just know that I’m thinking of you, and don’t worry about me, because I’m doing OK.  My feet doesn’t stay too warm, but other than that I’m in perfect health.  I guess I told you I saw the city of Le Havre and some other villages.  Tell Lucille that I would give plenty for a lot of good fresh mild.  That is one ting that is very scarce over here.  Tell Dan I want him to continue his good work.  Tell Lottie hello, and I certainly would like to see her, and visit for a while.  You certainly would get a bang out of seeing us cook our own meals in a mess kit.  We get pretty good food though.  I certainly will be glad to get home and have a good real talk again.  I certainly could use some good long horn cheese and crackers.  I believe it would taste delicious.  Well will close.

Your Son,

Jackie
