Karl - June 13, 1943 General Montgomery was here to visit us not so long ago and we played for him. He came over to where the band was and seemed to be a swell fellow. He made everyone feel at ease. There is a dance tonight but I don’t know if I’ll go or not. Well my space is just about gone so I’ll close for this time.
