Honey:

I received two letters today and they were very welcome.  I’m glad you’re shaking Leah off because if you’ll recall, it’s no good thing.

Today I took out $10,000 of life insurance which means you’ll get $50 more a month for 20 years.  I hope that is satisfactory.  We also were given another shot on the arm today for another type of disease.  We also had the tailor of the barracks today to see if our uniforms fitted O.K.—mine needed no alterations.  He did however say [my] seat should be baggy when I lose this belly.  I haven’t lost any of my weight as yet.  I’m very stiff today due to all the exercise I got yesterday.  I went to the sickbay this morning because of my head cold.  He sprayed my nose and gave me a dose of something and it helped considerably.

Beside your two letters, I got a letter from Jack and Zebby also.  Jack also wants to know when I can have visitors.  I hope that it is this Sunday a week or about 12 days from now.

I am still hoping that you get a position with Doc B. as he is really O.K.

Well, sweets I’m now going out to play in another game.  So, so long until later.

                                                                                    Your lover,

                                                                                                Johnny.

I LOVE You

Tell Pop I got his letter.
