Tuesday Noon

Dear Mother,

Still here. No word yet about when we leave. They can’t get transportation so I hear. We’re sitting around. Working now and then. We’ve moved again. And the food is grand. For lunch we had pork chops. Boiled potatoes. Green peas. Carrots. Lettuce and mayonnaise. Fruit salad. Bread, butter, jam, peanut butter, cake and cold oval tine. Really swell. If I stayed here long I’d really put on some weight.
Abbot, Marian, and Ann Cline up to see me Sunday. Hank called me Sunday morning an as I couldn’t get away they came up here. We had a swell time. Went to the service club. Saw a show at the victory theater. A negro band and show very good too. Had a letter from H. Eugene day before yesterday. Will write him a letter now.

Love to all--

Jackson
