Friday Morning

Dear Mommy—

Still here—don’t know when or where I’ll go yet—I may not go until Monday.  It’s barely possible that I could get home this weekend—They don’t usually give passes to the fellows on shipping orders but maybe I can talk them into it—

Glad to hear Gene passed with flying colors—Hope it will take his mind off Paris.  He does seem most upset.  He does forget every once in a while and laughs—but most of the time he’s very sullen—wish I could be with him more—maybe we’ll be shipped somewhere near each other and can get together once in a while—

Henry Abbot says thanks a million for your hospitality—I do think he enjoys himself when he’s in Richmond

Leigh and Jackson are still here—The three musketeers are still together.  I hope that we can stick together—It’s not very likely but I hope so anyhow—

I’m up at the hospital this morning to see about my skin—It’s not as well as it was a while ago.  I’m not taking those sunlamp treatments any more and perhaps that’s the reason—

I hope to see you Saturday—don’t know if I can or when it will be but I’m going to try—I write again when I have the chance—

Adios for now.

                                                                        Love

                                                                            Jack.
